If your child is anything like mine, you know the moments I mean. The overwhelm that comes out of nowhere. The meltdown that isn't naughtiness, it's a little body that's just had too much. And the shutdowns, when everything gets so loud that they go quiet and disappear into their own world, somewhere you can't quite reach.

A voice they know
The thing that always helped Majeed was a voice he knew. For a lot of sensitive and neurodivergent kids, a familiar voice gets through when nothing else does. It's like an anchor. It says you're safe, I'm here, and it doesn't ask anything of them.
The idea I couldn't let go of
So I had a little wish. What if a story could meet Majeed right where he was? In my voice, the one he trusts most, saying his name, so he knew it was made just for him.
That wish became Geedlee.

Where the name comes from
People always ask what "Geedlee" means, and it's my favourite bit.
He's not just the reason I built this. His name is right there inside it.
